Mechanical Engineering Intern - Insulin Pump Development

Your main tasks

• Create and update 3D CAD models, technical drawings and product specifications
• Support the development and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies
• Support design reviews and the implementation of design changes
• Plan and perform mechanical and verification tests 
• Support root cause investigations and troubleshooting activities
• Contribute to technical reports, design documentation and engineering records
• Support the evaluation and implementation of product improvements with proper testing, documentation and communication
• Collaborate with colleagues from Product Care, Development, Verification, Production and other functions
• Take responsibility for defined engineering tasks and follow them through to completion

Your profile

• Currently studying mechanical engineering or a related discipline
• Strong interest in practical product development, mechanical design, testing and problem-solving
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD is required
• Knowledge of Siemens NX is an advantage
• Structured, analytical and hands-on approach to problem solving
• Ability to understand how mechanical systems work and identify potential improvements
• Comfortable documenting technical work clearly, accurately and systematically
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues from different technical backgrounds
• Reliable, curious and motivated to take responsibility for your work
• Good written and spoken English and German
